In 2003 two soulful British singer/songwriters, Delroy Hutchinson and Godfrey Gayle, were awarded the Best Gospel Newcomer award at the MOBOs. Part of their prize was a recording contract with Integrity. Yet nothing was ever released until now! At least it's been worth the wait as Hutchinson and Gayle possess two of the best voices in the UK gospel scene. The vocals here are warm and earthy, wrapping themselves easily around mid-tempo tracks such as the opening "Life Giver" and "Reborn" as well as worshipful ballads including the title track "Just Like You". Endorsement from gospel radio stations is to be expected with good quality British offerings such as this. However, the interlude interview from BBC West Midlands presenter Nikki Tapper is a little self-indulgent, even if the artists are focused on thanking the musicians who worked on the album and in particular Brian Allen, who penned most of the tracks into the bargain. Overall, this is a solid first recording and here's hoping we're not left waiting another seven years for a follow-up.

Hi Keren, Thank you for your honest critique of our album
it is both encouraging and sobering. While it wasn't our
intention to come across as self indulgent I can appreciate
subsequent to your comments how it could be misconstrued.
Our hope is that the album will be a blessing to all who
listen to it and we are just amazed that God has afforded us
the opportunity to release an album. Much love and thanks
again for your review. Del.
