With a subtitle of "The Power Of God's Word In An Easy Listening Style' one may have expected a saccharine-style small choir. Instead, you get snappy pop arrangements and good lead vocals though who precisely the gravelly rock voice on "Resist Him" and the Amy Grant-tinged vocal of "The Night Is Nearly Over" belong to are, irritatingly, not revealed on the sleeve. The idea of this album is to use these well crafted Scripture songs (from the likes of Bob Ayala, Lynn DeShazo, etc) to implant key spiritual warfare Scriptures into your mind. Thanks to producers Mark Gasbarro and Steven V Taylor, and those gifted songwriters and anonymous session vocalists, it succeeds quite well.
