Those of you who attended the Creation Festival in the West Country last year will know that this anointed songwriter and worship leader from California has a powerful anointing. The songs here are tender, intimate and sometimes quite lovely (take for instance the haunting opener "Wait For You" or the country tinged "You Are Beauty") while his husky voice is perfectly suited to the pop acoustic rhythms here. In an age of saccharine worship these new Calvary Chapel songs of worship shine with luminous sincerity. A low key gem.
