"In January '98, five enthusiastic Christians set out to spread the Word of God to people through music." So quotes the blurb, explaining how Yorkshire-based Higher were formed! The band had the supreme blessing of seeing folk commit to Christ at their first gig, so if they achieve nothing else musically, that alone makes their earnest efforts worthwhile. Uplifting as the evangelism has been though, sadly this debut offering never gets off the ground, a cluttered alternative pop mish mash of one influence too many.
