Hebron are British purveyors of Messianic worship music consisting of Helen Shapiro (who was, of course, once a bona fide pop star back in the '60s), Chrissy Rodgers (of the Star Of David Singers) and multi-instrumentalist Simon Elman. Here they present 16 songs with an intriguing stylistic mix which takes in jazz, folk and bluegrass all with a Jewish feel. "Thou Wilt Keep" presents Helen's jazz vocal style while I especially enjoyed Chrissy's six string banjo on "Adon Olam". Vocally, the combination works extremely well, examples including "Psalm 147" where the combination of Simon's light tenor alongside the gentler vocals of Helen and Chrissy is just right, and the country/folk arrangement of "A Little Bit Of Heaven" is a real pleasure. All in all these three talented musicians have delivered a first class album.
