Peculiarly, I'm stumbling across some of the best Christmas releases long after the holiday season has finished. And here's another one. Heath Robinson isn't a bloke of that name but a British duo - Christ Gaskell and Harold Heath - who here offer five original Christmas songs and they are strong in melody and produced with low budget pop rock competence. Chris' vocal is strong on "Your Star" and even better on the solo "Wonderfully Fashioned" while guests Sound Purpose do a nice job on "Good News". Only the final song "It's Christmas" is clichéd with a weak female vocal but by then I was won over by the warmth of the performances. All proceeds from the sale of the CD will be sent to Asia-Link for the relief of those hit by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. So if you haven't already bought 'Advent The King Is Coming' why don't you get one for next year's Christmas? If you like well crafted pop you'll definitely enjoy it.
