A piece of classic pop from Tacoma, Washington State-based Rachel Taylor, who performs under the name He Is We. I say classic because this song, and particularly the arrangement, harkens back to a time when the construction of the song was everything. I don't wish to generalise but many songs of today sound to me like the music comes first and the lyrics are made to fit the rhythm. He Is We borrows the words "Amazing Grace" (and some of the other lines in the John Newton-penned hymn) and turns it into something of her own. There is a reggae flavour here, but only a dash. A track you'll be hearing on both Cross Rhythms and xRhythms.
