A difficult album to categorise but a joy to listen to! This is a side project for Downhere bassist Glenn Lavender who has teamed up with fellow Canadian singer/songwriter Kalyn Allan to create a new duo. Eclectic would be a good place to start in describing this folky release and I am guessing it will appeal to fans of the Asthmatic Kitty roster of artists who employ a similar diversity on their releases. Whether you're enjoying the banjo on "Layers Of Unknown" or the brass ensemble on "Falling Tumbling", there's always something to surprise you here. From the vocal intro of "Bend Break" to the beautiful piano balladry of "Canadian Heart", there's a sense of adventure throughout topped by Kalyn's lovely vocals and strong songwriting. Whether there'll be much touring will be dictated by Glenn's day job but I'm hoping they'll make it over to the UK. But in the meantime if your tastes veer to left-of-centre acoustic art pop 'Under Skies' is one to search out.

Awesome review. I love this album, it is very different from what I would normally listen to but a pleasant change.

I wish you both well and great success. We look forward to seeing you preform live in the near future.

May God Bless this adventure abundantly and may you be on your way to big things with this venture.
