No doubt the title track will get some airplay on Cross Rhythms' Bethlehem-based station, Radio Hayah. But those Christmas music lovers who have already purchased the Nashville-based singer's EP of 2017 'Emmanuel' will discover that all six tracks of this full-length album are on this release as well. The standout on the EP was a delicious version of "O Come O Come Emmanuel" and no doubt it will get some airplay this holiday season as well. Of the four new-to-her-public songs here, the opener "Winter Wonderland" has some clever production but I personally don't see the point of Christians recording such a banal song. Much better here are the versions of three carol evergreens, "O Come All Ye Faithful", "The First Noel" and "Silent Night" though I can't help but wish that whoever at Black River Christian Records did the song selection had shown a lot more imagination. After all, the rock-tinged "Christmas Eve In Bethlehem" is a pretty good original. We could have done with some more.
