This is the soundtrack to a film that celebrates life and the Lord, despite the harsh American inner-city life. It's so easy for us to think rap music has to be dark and gangster-ish. Thankfully the holy hip-hop artists here sound just as strong and groovy, and have skills comparable to many of their better-known secular counterparts. Standouts are the R&B-laced rap from Jah Word featuring Gibraan, Christsyde and The Cross Movement, the funk-driven rap by Gibraan and CL Ryderz, and female rapper Elle ROC's aptly-titled R&B-laced 'So Beautiful'. The interludes here include soundtrackfrom the film, such as Gospel Gangstaz's Tik Tokk's confession of his past life as a gangbanger!
