In the bright sparkling world of modern worship where every CCM band is choosing to record a worship project, it's easy for independent bands to get missed. But don't miss out on the catchy state of the art pop rock of Goodbye Audio whose desire to work at local church level is central to their ministry. Basically this is brilliant stuff! I'm already familiar with Lewis and Stacey Lux who were once the core of the excellent Stereo Deluxx and who are now in Goodbye Audio. They are joined by Chris Shandrow who was the frontman for the power pop group The Frantics whilst Jimmy Wise used to play with Miss Angie and others. With songwriting shared across the whole of this experienced band, the result is a coherent top quality sound and an album of standout songs. Favourites? There's the breezy "Everything" complete with driving guitars and the simplicity of the more acoustic title track whilst "Falling" brings Stacey Lux's vocals to fore with a superb contemporary pop backing. Actually the whole album is outstanding and if you want to experience some fresh new worship songs and not hear yet another version of "Lord I Lift Your Name On High", grab hold of this creative, uplifting, shining new album.
