Phil Keaggy began his musical career as lead guitar and vocalist for this three man band. Glass Harp only recorded three albums and then disbanded in 1972. Over the last 20 years these three albums have become much valued and sought after collectors' items both in the Christian and secular markets. Fortunately they have now been re-released, although only available on CD and only as imports. 'Glass Harp' opens with the classic song "Can You See Me" which Keaggy has sampled on both "Sounds" from 'Getting Closer' and "I've Just Begun (Again)" from 'Sunday's Child'. By today's standards the production quality of the first album may be a bit rough, but for 1970 it is well above average. Keaggy's guitar playing is not up to his present day standards, but is still impressive. A fascinating piece of musical history.
