Technically speaking this compilation of tracks from previous Glad albums is a hard album to fault. The harmonies are note perfect, the production is crisp, clear and shows Glad's vocal abilities off to the full. The lyrics are particularly powerful in places too, my own favourite being "Hallelujah" which boldly proclaims that "all our debts have been satisfied/All demands of hell have been denied." On the downside though it has to be said that much of the album sounds a little 'samey', whether this is due to a lack of originality in the arrangements or the restrictiveness of the acapella style I wouldn't like to say. All I know is that by the end of the album I was struggling a bit to carry on paying attention. I would also suggest that if you're out to buy your posh granny's Christmas present early then this is certainly worth considering (a couple of tracks do have a strong Christmassy feel to them!).

I have this cd incuded in my large ccm collection. This cd
showcases the group at its a cappella best!! It contains a
cappella version of 1982 song "Be ye glad"; an all-time
favorite. The cd starts off with the late Keith Green song
"YOU put this love in my heart";followed by 2nd Chapter of
Acts' "Easter Song". I remember the group on a Billy Graham
tv show about 5 years earlier, what an amazing performance!!
Oh how their faces shined before all men, singing a
cappella; to describe it goes beyond words. I cannot forget
that moment in time!! Add this cd to your collection if you
do not have it! GOD Bless! - Don
