Milton Keynes-based Gershom is a newcomer to the UK scene and this EP is a taster of musical styles. The tracks here are okay but overall 'Pagez' lacks stylistic focus. "Joy" is a beautiful song with a nice soulful feel spoilt by the spoken word introduction. "Pagez" is psalm-like in style, but very repetitive while "Wrap Up Wrap Up" contains reggae elements as it tells us that time is short and we need to be focused on the Lord. "Your Love" is a mid tempo song with pleasant hooks and a heavy electronic feel. Overall it's pleasant enough but most CD buyers will want more than that.
