A difficult task, I would imagine, trying to remix AOR team Geoff Moore & The Distance to give them dance appeal, so hats off to Tedd T and Chuck Zwicky for doing so. In keeping with the Forefront 'Extended Play Remixes' from ETW and Rebecca St James, here we have three tracks taken from their last album mixed with the dance crowd in mind, although here some of the originals' guitar sound has been retained. Title track "Godgattaholdonme" is available in two versions: the techno-tinged "145 bpm Grip Mix" and the superior "Sega Club Dub", which benefits from the programming skills of Ian Eskelin. The song "Evolution...Redefined" was always going to be hard to turn into a dance classic and the "Revolution Mix" starts off well but is spoilt somewhat by someone doing an unintelligible impression of a cranky old science teacher which doesn't fit with the music at all. The other difficult task is the remix of Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now", which despite some great deep dub-style sounds, hasn't been pulled off entirely successfully. So altogether then, it won't win many points from the hardcore dance fraternity, but it has its highs and will no doubt fascinate Geoff Moore fans!
