When Genevieve Sylva performed her debut and self-penned contemporary gospel single "Never Be The Same" as part of Wembley's Oraclez Gospel Festival back in May it went down a storm with the audience. It's not hard to hear why. This is a stomping track bursting with encouragement and lyrics designed to inspire confidence and reassurance, guaranteed to get you moving and lift your spirit. Prolific composer and writer Peter Daley gives Genevieve a tight production and though this probably isn't quite strong enough to attract much radio exposure it's still a pointer to an excellent new UK singer. Genevieve is performing as part of the popular Midlands-based group Black Voices and here's hoping her debut solo album follows soon.
