Hailing from Southlake, Texas, this is the fifth live release from Gateway Worship, following on from 'Great Great God'. Gateway's considerable team of worship leaders and pastors are represented here with songs led by, amongst others, Thomas Miller, Kari Jobe, David Moore and Walker Beach. Immediately obvious with this release is the enormous energy of both the worship band and the atmosphere created by a congregation of well over 20,000 attendees. Many live recordings struggle to balance the presence and sound of both the band and the congregation but pleasingly this is not the case here. Despite the stadium-based nature of this music, there is a real mixture here of both epic anthems and acoustic songs of intimate devotion. One particular example of this is the beautiful "139", a stunning and moving meditation on the Psalm. Even better, there has clearly been thought put into the track order so that the songs sit together comfortably to create a feeling of progression. This is a genuinely excellent collection from the Texan mega-church.
