Filmed in San Antonio, Texas before a wildly enthusiastic audience, I assume this long running DVD is one half of a concert as another DVD was released at the same time with completely different music. The new five-man lineup is Mark Lowry, David Phelps, Michael English, Bill Gaither plus the more recent member Wes Hampton and a mighty fine ensemble they are, except when Bill has to handle the bass lines - at 73 he is probably a little less powerful than he once was! They are soon well away singing such favourites as "Where Could I Go", the title track and "Go Ask" before they introduce guest vocalist Jason Crabb who performs the powerful number "Somebody Like Me" and then together with the Vocal Band "Daystar (Shine Down On Me)" The Isaacs are then introduced and they perform "Mama's Teaching Angels How To Sing". They do this as a trio of vocalists and the harmony of Sonia, Becky and brother Ben is superb, in fact listening to the fantastic range of the two girls I wonder if there is anything better in either country or southern gospel music today. I enjoyed "I Believe In A Hill Called Mount Calvary" and having Mark Lowry back in the band, the humour level of the group has gone up again! There are some nice background scenes of San Antonio and backing regulars Kevin Williams (guitar) and the fantastic Gordon Mote (keyboards and organ) round out what is a really enjoyable listening experience and a very good start for the new vocal ensemble.
