Fire time I've heard this band and it's a pleasure to meet them. The 6-track programme jumps in with the aggressive rocker "My Best Day" followed by the quirky Beatles-influenced "Everything He Wants". Remaining titles in case you are hoping for your current Fragile Cat favourite are "The Postcard Song", "Humblin Harbour", "Blind To It All" and "The Last To Go". The music blends the gently emotional and melodic with strident, punchy songs, a well-balanced set. Adam Turner has a confident, expressive lead voice and writes a good song to boot. Some rich sounds here, very acceptable little tape.
