Hailing from Belfast, these extreme metallers utilise many elements of old school thrash and combine it with death metal vocals and a strong Christian ethos. The opening track is probably the weakest of the four. Opening with a tribal drum beat, which sounds like it is being played on a coffee table, it meanders along through various styles without really getting anywhere. "Sleep" has its moments, such as the more melodic chorus section and the lead solo, however the verses are a bit of a jumble and the squealing guitars quickly grate. The other two tracks are similar in that they seem to lack coherence in the style that the band wants to play. The drums are powerful, the guitars crunchy and the vocals deep and dynamic. The band were planning to record a full length debut album early this year, but with the departure of the vocalist/keyboardist, it remains to be seen how well drummer Ignatios can replace the vocals and whether they can find the songwriting focus to complement their talented musicianship.
