This EP heralds the return - at least for a short season - of those crazy iconoclasts from Bristol who in a time long past were telling how a wife hovered her husband's head. F&F's two recent download singles are here together with various mixes (which in truth are pretty superfluous to requirements). The "Paradise" single is a summery confection which is pleasant enough with Jon Soper's lead vocal gliding effortlessly over the acoustic guitar accompaniment but in truth it isn't hugely memorable. Much better, and a possible radio hit, is "Fruit Machine" which has all the laconic wit we know and love and over a cod ska rhythm features Jon plaintively intoning "all I needed was a triple cherry". Listen out for it on CR radio.
