Since they stopped working with Disney, the three sisters have been exploring the direction they want to take the group. This acoustic EP is a stop gap while they consider what the next album will sound like and it gives fans who catch them on their European tour to hear a couple of new songs and a couple of re-workings of older numbers. Recorded at the Love Library studio in Nashville (hence the title), the stripped down sound gives the girls' vocals and songwriting abilities to come to the fore and they're impressive. They have re-recorded "Goodbye" and "Where You Are" from their Disney album and the songs have taken on a different life in this form. "Resistance" and "Attention" are the first fruits of the group's writing for the next release. So the EP gives you the opportunity to get a sneak peak of what could be ahead. Certainly this is worth investigating for the lead song "Resistance" which is as punchy and catchy a piece of pop you'd ever like to hear. As a stop gap, this works just fine but I can't wait to hear the girls record with a full on studio set up and cranked back up to full on pop perfection.
