Gallo are South Africa's major record label and in 1994 they apparently poured big money into Mr Schoombie's album. Evan helped launch the first Christian Cabaret Theatre in Johannesburg and presumably this 1994 album spun off from that. Too many cover versions - Keith Green's "Summer Snow" and "Lord, You're Beautiful", Van Morrison's "Whenever God Shines His Light" and Geoff Bullock's "Power Of Your Love" though Evan's voice is smooth as silk and the arrangements are appropriately lush. One point of interest is the Van Morrison cover when Evan is joined by worship pioneer Tom Inglis (you read about him in CR28)
