An assured R&B/soul offering from Birmingham, Alabama-based singer Erick. The only surprise here is that it's a comparatively brief album at a shade under 45 minutes, when most of this kind weigh in at around the hour. That said, whereas other albums are often over-long and contain a fair amount of filler, Erick goes for quality over quantity and definitely gets the balance right. Smooth production, good mix of styles and a voice that sounds a little like Terence Trent D'arby. By the way, Erick, that is a compliment!
