Gospel quartet music is as old as the hills and there is a strong tradition dating back 60 years or more. Houston, Texas-based Endurance embrace that tradition so what you get on this album are four voices united in harmony. The guys don't appear to be writing their own songs and the album bears the legend "featuring Spanky Williams. . ." It turns out that the interestingly named Mr Williams wrote and produced the majority of the material found here. From the solid groove of the opener "Oh! What A Joy" to the closing "This Is The Day", this is well executed gospel music though I'm curious about the two Christmas songs at the end! There's nothing much that's original here on this 2005 release but it's vibey enough to get my attention!
