'Hold Your Breath' grabs you immediately as it kicks straight in with a riff slightly reminiscent of The Smashing Pumpkins. This guitar driven feast quickly demonstrates the craftsmanship of Embodyment as the clear and moody vocals lead you beyond the grasp of the imposing musical backdrop. This landscape is far from featureless and the highs and lows are impeccably punctuated by the tight rhythm section. It's difficult to draw comparisons with other artists, as their sound is quite individual, but if you liked Kings X's heavier side then this will definitely be your cup of tea. My only criticism is that at 36 mins it's a bit short.
