If you're like me, sometimes it's hard to take somebody called Elvis seriously. I mean, nobody calls their kid "Elvis" anymore, do they? However, one listen to this three-track single and I'm taking Mr Chambers very seriously! These three songs are the perfect showcase for the London-based singer's fine R&B vocals. Elvis has at times been involved in church worship at Kensington Temple and elsewhere so it's an interesting choice of songs here. Kicking off with a Mica Paris tune, "Breathe Life Into Me" takes on a fresh inspirational twist when it's presented in a style that mixes soul and rock in a Roachford fashion. "The Potter's House" is an old Walter and Tramaine Hawkins gospel number reinterpreted here as a bit of a power ballad with some great vocal arrangements and Chambers' excellent soaring vocals. "You Are So Beautiful To Me" closes the set with an understated acoustic feel but again with his vocal talent clearly out front! A fine introduction to this man's music and I am thirsty to hear some more.
