About this batch of songs from the Canadian singer/songwriter Elizabeth wrote "God has carried me through a season of difficult times. It was in this season that I started writing these songs. These songs are an honest reflection and a personal journal into my life." And beautiful and rich in insight they are. With a brittle sweet-but-not-sickly voice and accompaniments which range from acoustic-driven pop into artfully arranged synth pop, the effect is always tender-hearted and wistfully memorable. An album that reveals new levels of songwriting craft and production skill with every new play. My current favourite is the dreamily poignant "I Will Stand" but several others are creeping up on me while Elizabeth's spiritual journal-style lyrics manage to avoid the stilted religiosity that such a songwriting approach often falls into. It's been seven years between this and Elizabeth's last recording. Here's hoping it's a much shorter wait before her next one.

What a talent. Ladies and Gentlemen if you have never heard
her sing, then you better grab a copy of the CD for your
self if you cant attend any of her shows.
