This DVD features six songs from her debut solo album released back in 2003, yet the main feature runs for over one hour and 15 minutes! Dorinda likes to talk a lot between the songs and improvise and extend some of the choruses almost beyond the realms of possibility. But you've got to let her do it: with a voice like hers, you can never hear too much. She lives up to her legendary status and is backed by a dynamic choir and dance troupe (though the band remain hidden in the dark at the back of the stage for most of the time). Dorinda's dress sense is as flamboyant as her vocals too: so that's why there was no room for the band on stage! If you can't choose between the CD or the DVD, then get the CD: as I said, only six (extended but repetitive) songs are offered here, and most of the extra features are a waste of time. But if you do get the DVD you can have fun spotting the other "stars" in the audience.
