If you've never heard "you're The One", by Donn Thomas,
you're missing a treat. Here, David Diggs gathered some of
the top musicians to help Donn get going in his music
ministry, and actually, this was their second project.
These guys, who would perform together on many gospel
projects in the 80's, did it again. The title tract fully
represented the contemporary jazz sounds of that day, with
Paul Jackson Jr. on guitar and Louis Johnson, of the
Brother's Johnson, on bass, with people like Bryan Duncan
from th "Sweet Comfort Band", helping with vocals, you had a
winning combination. You're the one is an album that I
stlll have to this day, and it is amazing how fresh it is to
me even now.

Donn Thomas is my mentor I have spent time with him in
Georgia. He has been a tremendous influence on my music and
my life. I feel "The Keeper of my Love is probably one of
the best ballads ever written hands down!
