Any attempt to reconstitute the Bible is fraught with difficulty; what do you leave out? 'Genesis & Job' has Don Francisco in story-telling mode, with full orchestra and a folksy paraphrase of some of the key moments between Genesis and Job. The style is laid back 'Carman for kids' - of all ages - simple and memorable moments from the narrative laced with wisdom. If it lacks cohesion, it is only because such a time span defies any attempt at building either plot or characterisation. However, it has humour, the right sense of urgency where necessary, faultless production and a lightness of touch which sets it apart in the genre. Listen to this and you will discover that there is always something more to learn about God's word.
