An American acoustic singer/songwriter who has a good, high register voice, on the opener a Dylanesque suck-and-blow harmonica player and a nice line in memorable imagery ("From the twisted road they call your fate"). There are nine songs here but as each goes on for four or five minutes, CD buyers aren't short changed. Dom's band, electric guitar, bass and drums, add some pleasingly organic texture to his songs. The problem is that the arrangements clearly come from live performance and ramble a bit. Plus, despite Dom's ability with lyrics, some of his songs try too hard to spell out the spiritual pay off rather than letting the listener work it out for themselves. But all in all, this 2004 album shows a well above average singer/songwriter with an obvious determination to minister truth.
