As was the case with her well-received debut, Indiana singer/songwriter Deborah Denise's second album takes inspiration from a miraculous healing that occurred in her life, revealing a collection of songs that declare God's love and power with confidence. This time around Denise has taken complete hold of the production reins and the result is magnificent. With a stellar voice and a spiky, dance-tinged R&B feel, this release fits right into the sphere dominated by major label divas such as Rihanna and Beyonce but without the recurring themes of unhealthy relationships and self-obsessed posturing. Instead, with all the technical brilliance and skill of the aforementioned artists, Denise still keeps things personal but tells of a higher love she's found in tracks like "How Can Jesus Love Me (Like That)" and the single and Cross Rhythms Radio hit "Too Long" whilst singing from God's perspective to good effect in the likes of "Teardrops". Songs such as "Righteous Anger" and "Fight" cover the thornier aspects of her faith journey to add depth to this exemplary album.
