Respect to David Smith. With minimal publicity the dear brother from Mitcham has been recording reggae gospel for years now and though his gentle, simplistic lovers style is not quite the thing to electrify the dancehall crowd he exudes sincerity and faith on these 11 self-written songs of praise and devotion. A compilation from previous recordings these tracks are of variable quality but at their best display a sinuous, lilting groove to accompany the old, old story.
