As my French never got beyond the "avez vous une bycyclette" level I'm at a slight disadvantage in assessing this French language album (though pouring over the handsome gatefold sleeve I did spot the word "Jesus" in the songs "J'ai Trouve" and "Je Viens"). What I was able to relate to was the deft mixture of rock and acoustic rhythms and the sheer gutsy power of David's singing. I saw this guy in Norwich recently at The Gate acoustic night and I can vouch for his exemplary guitar playing. A real talent deserving of wider exposure.

I think this album is great and I am looking forward to his
new one to be released soon. David has the kind of throaty
melodic voice that can send shivers down my spine and take
me into the presence of God even though I cant speak French
well.. He is a very talented musician and song writer who
needs to be given a break by the recording industry to
fulfill his potential.
