A relaxing and soothing selection of 14 instrumental tracks, led by David Bird on acoustic and electric guitars. David is a member of the Christian Celtic worship band Eden's Bridge, and the other musicians featured here (Terl Bryant, Jon Large, Richard Lacy, etc] are also associated with this group. The musical standard is therefore of a very high quality and is equally matched with spiritual sensitivity. On this CD, the combined talents give many of the current Christian "standards" a fresh airing and interpretation and the track list includes, "I Will Offer Up My Life", "All I Once Held Dear" and "Let Your Love Come Down". But I was particularly impressed by the arrangements of those old chestnuts, "As The Deer" and "Be Still For The Presence". I must admit my heart sank when I saw them on the track listing, thinking if ever any songs had passed their sell-by dates it must be these. However, with sympathetic playing and sensitive arrangements, David manages to breathe fresh life into both. If you're feeling stressed at the moment or need help in winding down, this is the CD for you.
