On the theme of Celtic spirituality, this little paperback is full of prayers written by the author. They cover one complete week, with morning, midday, evening and night prayers for each day. Each prayer takes the pattern of Affirmation, where it is affirmed what is said is believed. Silence, a time of eager waiting on God and reflection. Acclamations and Responses, the purpose here is to help us deeper into the realities of our faith. Reading from the Psalms and other Scripture. Prayer and Praise taken mainly from Scripture and finally the Collect or summing up followed by a final Affirmation. Sounds all somewhat mechanical and inhibiting, but one needs to read the prayers in order to relate particularly to the Celtic tradition of spirituality. One excellent aspect of the book is that the prayers are specifically written in shorter style in order that they may be easily remembered and recited by heart. Also some excellent Celtic illustrations by Jean Freer.

Product Description
This collection of prayers will help readers to praise God in good times and bad.
Life has its rhythms - ebb and flow, darkness and light, dry times and times of richness.
To survive this intricate pattern, we need to have an overriding rhythm of prayer. We need to know that, whatever is happening, we are loved by God and in him we live and move and have our being.
