If you have liked Doug Horley then you will absolutely love Dave Godfrey. He has the same zany sense of humour while his songs are sparky and full of praise to God. Some of the names of the songs are a bit naff like "Brother Joe" is about Joseph with his many-coloured coat, but don't all kid's albums have songs about that! "The Holy Washing Machine" is about having all your sins washed clean and the love of Jesus. I have to say that my first impression of the CD was far from enthusiastic but with its crisp sound, witty spiritual lessons and passable singing it has to be one of the best kids CDs that I have heard! This is the fourth album by York-based Dave Godfrey and I would put it up there with the best Doug Horleys, Sammy Horners and Great Big Gods.
