Lincoln-based David is billed as a "new up and coming worship artist" and this is his first EP. His backing band play well and I liked the addition of electronica which beefed up the sound. Having said that, I must observe that David's voice is a bit unusual and unfortunately the lyrics are hard to pick up in the mix - over time he may grow in confidence behind the microphone. Leanne Corlett sings clear backing vocals and the project would benefit from her being granted a more prominent singing role. The lyrics (available from his website) lack a sense of maturity for the most part. Good intentions are lost in poor grammar, cliché's and confusing sentence structures. A committed writing mentor would greatly boost the accessibility of the songs for a wider audience, from both theological and congregational perspectives.

I agree with Cat. Dave was quite young to be doing a first EP compared to most people so it's literally where he's at and he's sharing that which I think takes balls! Obviously everyone can always improve musically and technically but just the sheer determination and courage it takes is inspiring. Good Job Dave!

well i think to be honest the reveiw is quite harsh. Dave has obviously worked very hard at his first Ep and i think its awesome how hes sharing the gospel as far as he can. As its his first Ep it sounds great and no doubt he will keep getting better and better as he writes more songs.
