As one of the pioneering figures in CCM history, Darrell adds his mean harmonica with effect to this simple rock and roll, assisted by some able guitar work. The resulting catchy tunes will certainly have you drumming on the steering wheel when you're stuck in traffic, even if the lyrics constantly remind you that he's no Mark Gersmehl. There are more cliches here than in the script from 'Stingray'. 'Get Ready' could be more accurately renamed 'Get Ready Again' since the first eight tracks were previously released on Polydor Records in 1980. The last three tracks bring us up to date with a mellowed sound that shows how twelve years can affect both our ears and fingers.
