Nothing demonstrates the absurdity of pop chart success than the relative chart failure of this gem of a single. It's haunting mid tempo groove and Daniel's sublime swoops into falsetto should have made it a number one. Maybe it was the song's reference to Jesus. Or maybe it was the relative lack of success of Daniel's 'Second First Impression' album after the huge 'Gonna Get Thru' This' hit made the myopic radio gatekeepers give it a miss. But it's still a gem. And on this version of the single you get Daniels intriguing rendition of The Killers' "Somebody Told Me", performed live at Radio 1 without drums but with stacks of passion.
