This four-track EP from the Texan rapper is a Christmas release but not as you know it. In fact, the subject matter is so well hidden amidst Shaunta's cryptic rhymes and abstract beats that you might think that the opening track "Night Silence (Diamonds Edits)" is about wealth and possessions whilst "jkmno" is as puzzling as its title suggests. Elsewhere, "Holy" does mention the phrase "Jesus is the reason" and "God Stxrz" seems to hint at advent happenings. Despite some fine experimental grooves and the lady's characteristic slow rapped delivery and occasional funny voices spicing things up, this may well fly right over the head of the casual listener.
