A Scottish country trio featuring the very pleasant voice of Jenny Simpson, with Patrick Mandara and Bobby Sinclair on guitar. The plus is Jenny's voice, an easy listening pleasure with good pitch and plenty of expressiveness (not dissimilar to Dana). The weakness is that this set largely consists of unimaginitive renditions of over recorded hymns ("What A Friend", "Abide With Me", "How Great Thou Art") with one or two predictable covers as well (Charlie Landsborough's "My Forever Friend") not helped by seriously cheesy keyboards. As a memento of a country music club concert this might do, but as a recording for radio or discerning country gospel enthusiasts this is weak karaoke.

Fairly scathing review I would have thought, particularly as
it was recorded on a budget and not the tireless working and
polished brainchild of some bands/promoters who can afford
such time and effort with funds derived directly from the
relatively disgusting exploitation of anyone/everything
Christian.
