A follow up to 2001's 'Sepia' again features amazing work from this accomplished singer and writer. A native of Cameroon, and resident in Paris, she's beginning to also make a name for herself in the USA and Canada, so many people have fallen in love with her sublime voice. Mixing African, soul, gospel and even French influences together to create a sweet acoustic Afro-jazz style, her faith emerges on different songs particularly the only English language piece here, "My Soul's Love". She digs deep into her own heritage even adapting her family's song taught to her as a child and paying tribute to her ancestors. Overall this album has a beautiful, warm, acoustic feel with both piano and guitar textures creating the perfect backdrop to her vocals. Gigs in the UK are promised including an appearance at Ireland's Tara festival so it shouldn't be long before many people discover her talents.
