Birmingham-based identical twins Clair and Rose Rogoff have remastered their 2006 debut album. One thing is clear from the start - Clair and Rose have fantastic voices but their skills extend to writing some pretty good songs which portray their faith with a keen pop sensibility. For instance, songs like the soulful "Holy R U" and the gospel-tinged "No Height Nor Depth" uncompromisingly praise God whilst Bible verses are woven into the lyrics of a number of other tracks. Thanks to some adept production courtesy of John Barber and Brucie Quantise, this is a varied collection that switches from the smooth R&B of the opener "Captivate" to the experimental minimalism of "Talk2Me" whilst the harmony laden "Love Never Fails" is perhaps the best example of the girls' vocal talents. Only the below bar bossanova exposition "Don't Worry" and some misguided attempts at scat fail to live up to the quality.
