UK-based Cerose been singing reggae since age 16; this however is his debut release. This is difficult to believe considering the quality of the songs here! For example "Concrete Cold" with its mixture of spoken words and sung melodies explores social issues, while "Hot Steppin" is an infectious toe-tapping track which draws you in on repeated listening. "Inner City" reflects on the issues of city life and highlights justice and hope (although the sudden fade catches you out). The overall feel is classic reggae delivered with a positive message, which as a genre to my mind is underrepresented in CCM. Cerose has offered the album with bonus tracks as a free download, so there's no excuse to not check this out.
