Reviewed by Trevor Kirk Acoustic pop with a dash of blues and a little bit of rock thrown in from this singer/songwriter from Allendale, Illinois, USA, and this 10 track CD, whilst short on playing time at less than 30 minutes, is all her own work, with just one song having co-writing credits. She handles all the vocals herself, plus contributing acoustic guitar on all tracks. Her voice has a slightly nasal quality, which is a tad off-putting, with an occasional wobbly note here and there; production quality on the whole is not bad, although the same style of riffs tend to crop up regularly, giving a rather samey feel to some of the songs. I don’t know if the lady has any professed influences, but from time to time I kept thinking "Jars Of Clay or Caedmon’s Call", but truth to tell, Cassandra has a long way to go to approach the standard of those bands. Only average, sadly.
