R&In February 2016, Dream Gospel label signed this husband and wife duo. Individually growing up in Oakland, California and immersed in the church culture and gospel scene, Casey & Erica have spent the last few years supporting acts like Martha Munizzi, Marvin Sapp and New Kids On The Block. The title track is definitely the strongest offering here with its chilled R&B sound and head-nodding drum beats, resulting in the listener easily finding themselves singing along. Several of the tracks however, such as "Let God", "Love" and "Jesus I Want You" sound a lot like the lyrics are being improvised as the band groove along. The lack of well-crafted lyric writing pulls the album down and although there are some excellent vocals from the duo and from guest artists Edwin Hawkins, Lawrence Matthews, Cameron Pringle, Tyler Little and Lala, and the production, with its hip-hop flavours, is tight and funky, one is left underwhelmed by the project.
