This new duo, now based in Nashville, are a husband and wife team, Ben and Emily Roberts who were recently featured on Cross Rhythms' Rimmerama programme. Writing their own material they have chosen to go down a road rather removed from their more pop orientated debut and this new eight track CD takes the duo into an acoustic country direction with fiddle, harmonica and some delightful pedal steel. The songs here are full of meaning and hope and even though God is not mentioned there is a peace and uplift which leaves you wanting more. This is evident on the standout track for me "Someone Else" which describes how you can look beyond yourself to "someone else". The musicianship is excellent, strong guitar and clear harmony vocals with Emily's voice bringing drama and pathos from the songs. A delight to listen to from start to finish.
