This double CD set is a re-release of two Carman albums 'The Standard' from 1993 and 'Mission 3:16' from 1998. Okay, perhaps his best has already been covered in other compilations but, although very good albums, these do not really do justice to Carman's tremendous talent. Among classics such as "Mission 3:16" itself and "Who's In The House?" there are other decidedly cheesy tracks. For instance, "American Again" is really a rather OTT sermon about America turning to God. Carman, as is his want, jumps between styles, from rap to gospel to gushing inspirational ballads and lacks focus as a result. Sometimes he sounds a little like a brilliant children's musician doing adult songs which if you consider his 'Yo Kidz' series, perhaps he is.
